Play‘n Go announces receipt of Portuguese license

Less than a month after being granted a software supplier license by authorities in the Philippines and online casino games developer Play‘n Go has now announced the receipt of a similar authorization for Portugal.

Video slot variety:

The Swedish innovator used an official Wednesday press release to reveal that this latest approval means that online casino players in Portugal will be able enjoy a wide variety of its games including its Sweet Alchemy, Rise of Olympus and Legacy of Egypt video slots.

Expanding coverage:

The Vaxjo-headquartered firm began last year with analogous authorizations from regulators in Spain and Colombia and stated that its online casino games have already gone live for Portuguese players via the locally-licensed domain at PokerStars.pt, which was launched by Canadian operator, The Stars Group Incorporated, in November of 2016.

Global campaign:

Johan Tornqvist, Chief Executive Officer for Play‘n Go described his firm’s receipt of an iGaming license for Portugal as part of ‘a series of the company’s expansions into new markets’ that he hopes will result in its content being made available to ‘a wider global audience.’ He proclaimed that the developer endeavors to make its video slots compliant ‘in every market’ in which it operates and plans to have launched approximately 40 new titles by the end of 2019.

Tornqvist’s statement read…

“We want as many people as possible to enjoy our games and we also want our clients, both current and future, to be able to rely on us to have a presence wherever they seek to develop their operations. We are excited by this move into a new market and we look forward to exploring more new ground in the future.”
